Hello Third Grade Class!
Art is everywhere in society; it is in the clothes we wear, the cars we ride in, and the artworks we hang on the walls around our houses.
In todays assignment, I want you all to look around your house and pick out something that looks like art to you. It can be the shape of a glass, the picture your mother took of you as a baby or something you painted. When you find what you want to write about, describe it to us and say why you think it is considered art.

EXAMPLE:
My mom is an artist and she paints all the time, so I have multiple paintings from her. One of my favorites that she has painted is a fish bowl with the song lyrics "we are just two souls swimming in a fish bowl" by Pink Floyd. She painted fish and and whimsical bubbles on the canvas. Every time I look at it I think of her now. I think it is considered art because she put her time and heart in to the piece for me.
